Bio:
Born in Tajikistan in 1992.
Studied in College Gérard De Nerval in Huningue, France in 2007-2008.
2009 FLEX Program Alumni, attended Nashua High School South in New Hampshire, USA.
Studied History & Political Studies at Colby-Sawyer College in New Hampshire. Participated in study abroad program in Florence, Italy, from August to December 2011.
Returned to Tajikistan in 2015. Worked as a mountain guide for Hike Tajikistan from 2016 to 2017. Compiled and translated news digests for UN Agencies located in Kyrgyzstan from 2017 to 2019. Freelanced as a journalist and social media manager.
Organized “Philosophy & Feminism Tajik-style” Club in Bactria Cultural Center from 2018 to 2019. Participated in “Modalities 3”, contemporary art project aiming to spread awareness about gender issues in 2019 as an artist. Participated as a speaker at FemAgora Festival in 2020, then as a moderator at FemAgora in 2021.
From 2019 to 2021 worked with Tajik human rights NGO “Public Health and Human Rights” that focused on protecting LGBTQIA+ people, promoting gender equality, and implementing Art Activism projects.
From 2020 to 2021 monitored human rights violations in Tajikistan for NGO “Estonian Network of People Living with HIV”.
In 2019 began organizing “Art & Wine” sessions - open-ended, process-based painting classes for adults, continued until 2024.
In 2020 began working as a K-12 Art Teacher at “Quality Schools International” MSA-accredited educational institution in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. In 2023 switched to teaching 6-12 grades, continued until 2025.
In 2021 implemented 3 Art Activism projects with Tajik NGO “Office of Civil Freedoms” and recorded a series of podcasts about the topic.
Officially graduated from Colby-Sawyer in 2022.
In 2023 began working at “Articulture”, Minneapolis nonprofit art center, as an Art Instructor. Taught full-day, week-long camps to children and teens, as well as evening Drawing & Painting Studio classes to adults.
Later in 2023 assumed the role of Communications Lead at “Articulture”. Currently continue working remotely and supporting our art education and outreach programs for vulnerable and marginalized populations.
In 2025 moved to Yerevan, Armenia.
